Bathroom Spring Cleaning – Your Guide to Getting it Right
It’s springtime, and that means it’s time to give the house a good cleaning. The bathroom can accumulate a lot of dirt and grime over the winter, and if you want to make it sparkle, here are a few tips for getting it done as quickly and easily as possible.
Clean walls and ceiling. Wipe down the ceiling and walls with a dry paper towel or dust rag, then use a vacuum cleaner with a dusting attachment to clean your exhaust fan and lights. After that, use a sponge with bathroom cleanser on it to take care of any mold spots that have grown on your walls or ceiling.
Clean window dressings. Take out your window screens if you can and put them in your shower to give them a rinse. After that, wipe the glass down with window cleanser and replace the screens. Take down drapes and wash them in the washing machine, and dust any blinds.
Clean mirrors. A window cleanser will work just as well to take dust and water spots off your mirrors.
Clean shower curtains. Put your shower curtain in the washing machine with a fourth cup of bleach, then hang it in the shower to dry.
Clean showers and tubs. You don’t need to scrub the bathtub and shower all day either-there are plenty of shower cleaning products on the market that will allow you to spray cleanser on the walls and then walk away for a bit.
Clean countertops and sinks. Use a surface cleanser to spray down your sinks and countertops, removing any stains.
Clean the medicine cabinet. Go through the medicine cabinet and get rid of any expired cosmetics or medical supplies. Take everything out and wipe down your cabinet shelves with a damp cloth to remove dust.
Bathrooms can get dirty if they’re not cleaned for a long time. But you can take care of that in one day with a thorough spring cleaning. Follow these tips, and you should be able to make your bathroom fresh and clean.
