Seven Great Ideas For Decorating Your Bathroom

It is entirely possible to create your perfect luxurious bathroom however small your room or budget. Here are some tips gathered from top designers in the UK:

1. Furniture

If you’ve got the space, why not put an armchair in your bathroom? You can pick normally pick up a spare armchair from a junk shop or charity shop without spending a fortune. Cover it with a nice, washable throw and voila, the instant luxury feel. Naturally, this is assuming you’ve got enough space. You don’t have to pick a giant armchair – pick one that is in proportion to the bathroom. The very worst thing you can do is to squeeze in a piece of furniture where there’s not enough space so if an armchair is going to make the room look too crowded, skip this step.

2. Wallpaper

Okay so tiling is always a great idea but consider something a little different too : wallpaper. Don’t worry about it getting splashed, it is normally much more resistant than it looks. Besides, you are going to wallpaper areas that are not immediately next to the water (this is where the tile goes!) Many stores now stock wallpaper that is especially designed for bathrooms with a waterproof coating and chances are that as you won’t need a lot of it, it will be cheaper than tiling and look better than a plain wall.
