How it works is when the unit senses movement within 30 feet, it will call a programmed phone number you have entered. When the unit calls the programmed number, you are then able to hear what is going on in the room through the unit’s amplified microphone for 30 seconds. It will then disconnect, immediately re-arm and will call back if further movement is detected. This allows you to decide from a safe place if this is a friend or if you need to call 911.

To test, just turn on the test light switch and walk in the area you want the unit to respond. The light will come on when it detects movement and will stay on for 30 seconds, indicating it is calling the programmed number. When the light goes off that indicates the call has ended and it will re-arm itself. This function allows the operator to find the exact parameters and the sensitivity of the motion sensor within the environment he wants to be protected. Unplug the phone while adjusting it so it does not constantly call you. Once the unit is exactly where you want it, you can turn off the test light (so it doesn’t alert the intruder), and plug in the phone line. Now it is armed and ready for use.
You want to place the TeleSpy phone in the exact place you know would most likely be visited by an intruder to detect someone in your home or office. For instance, in your home, put it where your electronics or computer may be. Or a store owner might put it in the office portion of the backroom where his safe is. Pets are a concern with this product but that can be overcome. The sensitivity is factory set to trigger on about a 40 pound child (about 5 years old) or animal. You need put the unit in an area that the pet will not set the it off. Place it on a shelf or desk area where the pet does not go. If the pet comes close to the proximity of the unit, it will probably set off the sensor. You should devise a way the unit will function without any pet interference.
